The Skywind Wiki started as an effort to archive and credit all Skywind concept art from across the web, known as the CARP (Concept Art Reclamation Project). It now also aims to be a repository of information for the mod and its development. This includes (but is not limited to): characters, items, locations, quests, systems and mechanics. In addition, it strives to capture the design processes, document the development of the mod over time, and credit contributors while showcasing their work.
As Skywind has progressed, all of the concept art created to guide the look-and-feel of Skywind was not always maintained or archived. Ideas got lost, and work of value in its own right was sometimes overlooked. A lot of our existing CARP backlog comes from the Morroblivion forum (https://morroblivion.com/forums/skywind-development-forums-legacy), which then later became the TESR forum.
To find out more information about the CARP and how to reclaim images, see the corresponding wiki page: https://wiki.tesrskywind.com/wiki/Skywind:The_Concept_Art_Reclamation_Project
The wiki is currently in its early stages. The present aim is to develop the framework of a functional wiki that follows UESP (Unofficial Elder Scrolls Pages) standards (https://en.uesp.net/wiki/Main_Page). This is to ensure the possibility of integrating with the larger UESP ecosystem in the future.
The current focus is to create skeleton pages that allow for the easy input of finalized gameplay information and the imputing of information that is already final and unlikely to change (such as lore/quest aspects that will parallel vanilla Morrowind).
An additional focus is ensuring the categories/organization of files and pages are in accordance with UESP standards. When formatting and writing pages, UESP is a gold-standard reference and should always be used whenever possible.
Continuing from the CARP project, the wiki continues to serve as an archive of concept art and other development details. Adding such files to the wiki (as well as properly categorizing them) is another current and future aim of the project.
Those without administrator or bureaucrat roles within the wiki must contact a team member with those permissions to create an account for them. This may require submitting an additional Skywind application for record-keeping purposes.
Bureaucrat and Administrator roles can create new accounts by doing the following:
Guide to creating new accounts:
Get the username/email for the person you are creating the account for.
Navigate to the Create Account page (Special pages > Create account or wiki.tesrskywind.com/wiki/Special:CreateAccount)
Enter the username and email, and make up a temporary password.
After hitting "create account", you may need to assign them roles. Go to User Rights (Special pages > User rights or https://wiki.tesrskywind.com/wiki/Special:UserRights)
Search for their username. Check the boxes for the groups they should be in. For ordinary editing, they don't need any special groups. For people who should have more access, give them the Administrator role. For people who need full access, such as project leads, add the Bureaucrat role as well.
Let them know that their account has been created, and give them their temporary password! They should change this password once they have successfully logged into their account.
Note: The option to email a user a temporary password does not seem to work for everyone. However, specifying a password directly worked.

Once a user has gained access, they will be given permissions within the wiki. For most contributors this will be the ability to edit existing content, upload files, and create new pages. As a contributor, keep in mind that others can edit your work and make changes as development progresses. Because of this, the wiki is very flexible and forgiving of mistakes. Minor mistakes such as formatting errors, typos, or placing a file in the wrong category can be easily corrected.
The current main page for Skywind contributors and team members is: https://wiki.tesrskywind.com/wiki/Main_Page Read over the basic instructions on this page for the structure the project follows. If you have any questions regarding how something should be structured, feel free to ask fellow wiki team members. If they are unable to answer they will refer you to another department that can!
The current main page for the future Skywind wiki is https://wiki.tesrskywind.com/wiki/Skywind . This is the "front page" for visitors once the project goes public. As of now all content on the wiki are private and viewable by contributors only. As this is an ongoing project in conjunction with the development of the mod itself, the content on this wiki should not be shared publicly. Anything shared as a team member should be already publicly available content, such as posts from Skywind social media.
Consult with fellow team members about the current state of the project and what short-terms goals (if any) are present. As the wiki is in its early stages, there is plenty to do and everyone will likely find something that they will enjoy!
To access your personal user preferences and profile information, see https://wiki.tesrskywind.com/wiki/Special:Preferences . On this page you will be able to change your password, set email options, and access wiki-related options.
Text highlighted in red are called "red links" and are stand-ins for pages or content not yet added. Adding a red link will make it so every instance of this phrase that is highlighted red will turn blue (a clickable link) once the corresponding page is created. For example, creating a red link for "Gnisis" will automatically create a link to the Gnisis page once it's created, even if it doesn't exist yet. This is done the same as adding an already created link within the editor. As best stated by Wikipedia, "In general, a red link should remain in an article if there is a reasonable expectation that the article in question will eventually be created (either as its own article or as a redirect)."
To read more about red links, see: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Red_link
Special Pages (https://wiki.tesrskywind.com/wiki/Special:SpecialPages) exist as references and management tools for contributors. Depending on your role, most of these will not be relevant or needed most of the time. However, a few will be helpful to most contributors:
Uncategorized Pages (https://wiki.tesrskywind.com/wiki/Special:UncategorizedPages): Shows what pages have yet to be given a category
Uncategorized Files (https://wiki.tesrskywind.com/wiki/Special:UncategorizedFiles): Shows what uploaded files have yet to be given a category
Categories (https://wiki.tesrskywind.com/wiki/Special:Categories): Shows a list of all the current categories present on the wiki
Gallery of New Files (https://wiki.tesrskywind.com/wiki/Special:NewFiles): Shows the most recently uploaded files
Recent Changes (https://wiki.tesrskywind.com/wiki/Special:RecentChanges): Shows recent changes made by all users.
Upload file (https://wiki.tesrskywind.com/wiki/Special:Upload): Where new files are uploaded
The following are formatting texts (wiki markup or code) that will be useful for all users when categorizing and uploading media. Keep in mind these are case sensitive and must be formatted precisely or else they will not work.
—> Adds file or page to a category. Refer to the category list above for current categories. If a category is written incorrectly, it will appear as a red link to a page that doesn't exist. Spaces and dashes must be included if they appear in the target category. Remember these are case sensitive!
Common Examples:
✓
✘
✓
✘
✓
✘
When uploading media, Skywind's wiki follows UESP standards. This is easily done by adding the following markup to the summary section on the upload file page:

Dates should be in the year/month/day (as seen above) for consistency throughout the wiki. The source should remain "Skywind team" unless requested otherwise. If you found the image on a public forum such as DeviantArt, these information and/or link(s) should be included in the source. However, for most instances, the files uploaded will be shared from departments internally, and so the source should simply remain "Skywind team". If you have questions, feel free to contact your fellow team members and/or department lead. Add the artist/author of the piece in the "author" section. Here are a few filled in examples:

Pasting this format into the summary section will create a format similar to UESP. After providing description details, next add the following markup into the summary box to label the file with the Skywind License. This markup will create a "license" section underneath:
==Licensing== Skywindimage
Add a line of space between this markup and the last so you and other team members will be able to easily identify sections should something need to be edited. Afterward, create another line and add any categories the file should belong to. Put together, the text should look like this in the source editor:
Summary
==Licensing== Skywindimage

Notice the ==Summary== in the above code. This is usually automatically added by the wiki when you type into the summary text box while uploading. If the heading does not appear automatically, this markup can be added. However, pasting ==Summary== into the summary text box usually results in two redundant headers within the source editor, requiring one to be deleted.
The following are links to visual examples of how these markups will appear publicly on the wiki:
